When fractionating the oat kernel into higher beta glucan concentrations, at different stages in the production process, we also get different kind of fine and very fine oat flours, with varying protein and fat contents. The flours are named for their Protein content.

The SWEOAT® flours are not similar to the traditional oat flours. Our flours are very fine milled and therefore of smaller particle size and lower water content. The heat treatment is giving longer shelf life and stabilization, minimizing the risk of rancidity and less microbiological activity, also thanks to the low moisture.

The flours are even so very fine grinded they may be used for colloidal oatmeal in cosmetics and they are ideal for instants, powders, beverages etc, as they give a good mouth feel, despite being a flour.

Our flours can also be offered with Baby Food quality, complying to the European regulations for baby food, most important securing that the cadmium level is below 0,04mg/kg. The flours offered as Baby Food quality are SWEOAT Flour P12 and SWEOAT Flour P19.

And we are now certified for Organic (and KRAV) production - the product offered to start with is our SWEOAT Flour P14 Wholemeal.

Moisture: 7.5 % (<11 %).

SWEOAT® Flour P14 Wholemeal (also offered as Organic)

Fine powder, light yellowish, neutral oat cereal taste.
Average of 100 gram:
Dietary fiber 10 g, whereof β-glucan soluble fiber 4 g.
Fat 8 g, protein 14 g.
Particle size (NMKL 23):  Min 80% < 250 μm, min 90% <355 μm.
Moisture: 7 % (<11 %).
Shelf life 12 months.

SWEOAT® Flour P19 (also in Baby Food Quality)

Fine powder (<90μm), very light yellowish, neutral oat cereal taste.
Average of 100 gram:
Dietary fiber 7 g, whereof β-glucan soluble fiber 4 g.
Fat 3 g, protein 19 g.
Particle size (NMKL 23):  < 90 μm.
Moisture: 5% (<8%).
Shelf life 24 months.
